Meet Izzy and Zoë – The Cat With A Heart Print On Her Chest
What’s cuter than a little black and white cat? … a black and white cat with a heart on her chest named Zoë.

Zoë, the British shorthair mix, lives in Utrecht, Holland, with her owner Joanne Smienk who, after adopting her pet, found that she had a heart shape imprinted on her fur.
However, it was a love story that could have been over before it had even started – as Joanne was originally only set to take home Zoë’s sister Izzy.
She explains: ‘We found Zoë by accident. We were planning on adopting one kitten and we had chosen Izzy at first.

‘When we went to pick her up we saw Zoë too and she charmed us with her adorable heart marking, that surprisingly no one had noticed before, her playful attitude and her fluff.
‘She was the only one of her litter to become fluffy.

‘But what really sold us was their obvious sisterly love. They were the only tuxedo kittens of their litter and they did everything together.
‘We just couldn’t separate them and went home with both. This is still our best impulsive decision ever.’
British shorthairs are known for being affectionate, easy-going and enjoy being part of household routine – making them one of the most popular cat breeds around.

Joanne said: ‘Even though they are sisters, they have distinct personalities: Izzy is afraid of nothing and is very cuddly. When playing, she likes to jump at things.
‘Zoë is a bit shy towards other people, but is affectionate to us and she is very curious.
‘Her curiosity has caused her to fall in the full bath tub four times already, something that Izzy has been able to avoid to this day.
‘When playing, Zoë prefers to stalk and chase things on the floor rather than jumping at them. Zoë purrs very loudly when we give her any sort of attention, which includes looking at her.
‘As mentioned before, they are very close and do everything together.They are truly inseparable.
‘Izzy has a white nose and Zoë has the black nose and heart.’
